Orton Bag

An oversized tote bag with variations to make it in 'self' so same fabric body as handles, with webbing handles or leather handles. The bag can be made lined or unlined - it's up to you!

Level:  adventurous beginner - a great follow-up to a sewing basics (which is a prerequisite to this workshop)! You must know how to operate a sewing machine and understand the concept of topstitching.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

• We provide: thread, tools, expertise, and machines!
• You bring:  yourself, a copy of the pattern instructions, 1 3/4 yard of 44" fabric for exterior or 1 yard of 54" fabric (Oilskin, Dry Oilskin, Linen, Mid-Heavy weight Cottons, Mid weight Denim), & your sense of adventure. See the pattern for information on length needed of webbing or leather straps.
