Wiksten Shift - 2 Sessions

This loose shift is both comfortable and elegant, the perfect wardrobe staple. Choose from three different lengths: a cropped top, above-the-knee dress, or calf-length dress with side slits. The top has a plain back, while the dress has added fullness from back gathers. Patch pockets, waist tie, and three quarter length sleeve options are included. Neck is finished with an easy-to-sew facing. The oversized fit makes it possible to size down, but the bicep needs at least 3" ease for comfort.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

• Level:  Intermediate.  You are confident operating a sewing machine and feel good about your top stitching skills. You have successfully completed other garment sewing classes.
• We provide:  The studio space, pattern paper, tools and expertise.
• You bring:  Fabric you love! To make a garment that has some drape suggested fabrics are: washed lawn, gauze, voile, lawn chambray, washed linen, silk crepe, rayon. Your fabric yardage is totally dependent on your size (please see the pattern for more details), coordinating thread (please, if your top stitching thread is important to you purchase thread that either blends or coordinates with your chosen fabric), a 1/4 yard whisper-weight fusible interfacing, and a copy of the pattern (available online & in store); we offer 15% off materials purchased for any of our classes.
