Trail Tote Pattern

A casual and easy-to-wear tote that will feature your favorite fabrics! This crossbody style tote bag comes in two sizes for whatever stage of life you’re in.

An exterior zipper securely holds your keys and phone. Edged in piping and an adjustable strap make this bag beautiful & functional. Not to mention, fun to sew!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Features:

Recommended Fabrics:

• Midweight Canvas (6-8 oz. weight) for exterior.
• Quilting cotton for accent & lining.

Supplies:

• 6" zipper* (for Small size)
• 8" zipper* (for Large size)
• Cording for making piping
• Magnetic snaps OR a locking fastener
• Waxed cord or leather zipper pulls for that special finishing touch!

Zipper length is a fixed-length size zipper, instructions are also given if using zipper by the yard/continuous zipper.

• Polyester thread
• Water-soluble pen/tailor’s chalk
• Cutting mat
• Ruler
• Rotary cutter
• Size 14 or 16 denim or Microtex needle
• Glue or glue pen
• Pinking shears
• ¼”-wide fusible tape (such as Pellon)
• Piping foot
