The Story

Easy like Sunday morning... this traditional unisex dressing gown (or robe) is designed with an inner tie (keeps it from pulling open), patch pockets, a separate waist tie, and a shawl collar. This robe makes a great gift or better yet, a perfect next project after you've made a pair of pajama bottoms. An elegant accessory for those of you expecting guests this winter.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older);Ā 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: Ā Adventurous Beginner/Tentative Intermediate. You know how to thread a machine, can sew a straight line, and are comfortable cutting fabric. You have successfully made pajama bottoms but a still a little worried about making something truly fitted.
  • We provide:Ā  The studio space, machines, tools, seam finishing know-how, and expertise.
  • You bring:Ā  Fabric you love! Recommended fabrics are: wide width linens, cottons, waffle weaves, flannels, chambray, nothing silky/slinky if this is one of your first sewing projects. Washable fabrics are ideal. You'll also need coordinating thread for top stitching and a copy of the pattern (also available in the store). Don't forget we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
  • Class length: 3 hours each session (we highly recommend tracing your pattern in advance of class - see a craft associate on sizing and how-to)

Sessions meet on Saturday, January 13 and 20 at 3PM
