Simple Chirimen Pincushion

This is a palm sized simple beech tree wood base pincushion. The pincushion is made from Noto Futakoshi Chirimen, which has a unique texture, and each piece is threaded by hand with care one-by-one, to give it a beautiful texture.

Chirimen textile started being made in Japan at the end of the 16th century and is a fabric with a distinctive weave.
