Sepia Pants & Shorts Pattern - PDF DOWNLOAD

The Sepia Pants + Shorts have a clever design that blends style and comfort. Functional double pockets in the front are sewn to create a floating effect, with additional topstitched pockets in the back. A traditional elastic waistband is elevated with a fluted paperbag edge and optional drawstring.

• View A features barrel leg pants ending at the ankle, shaped with darts at the knee and hem.

• View B features wide leg, full-length pants.

To highlight the silhouette of the pants, we suggest crisp wovens with some degree of structure, such as:

Light- to midweight linen, cotton ikat, chambray, and broadcloth,

Lightweight denim, twill, and canvas (under 10 oz).

Supplies Required:

• Elastic for waistband, 1.5" (38 mm) wide (see Fabric Requirements for amount)

• Lightweight fusible interfacing, 1/4 yd (0.25 m) for 58" (1.5 m) wide interfacing

• Optional: Drawstring, 1.5–2 yards (1.5–2m), can be replaced with drawstring sewn from self fabric
