The Story
We're very excited to expand on our series of classes with local artist, Eling Chang akaĀ migration goods on one more new fall themed needle felting class this year-- gourds! Ā Build on your existing needle felting skills and lean into the season by making your own needle felted decorative gourd (that won't rot)! An excellent class for anyone looking to build on their existing needle felting skills/experience. You'll learn additional shaping and texture/surface design skills to help you recreate your favorite seasonal gourd in wool. Choose your favorite from a variety of different gourd shapes and customize your gourd's colors by learning to blend fiber colors. We'll also go over several display options for your finished gourd.
Limited to 6 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.Ā
- Level: advanced beginner
- We provide:Ā Guest Artist Eling Chang, all the supplies you need to make one or two gourds.
- You bring:Ā yourself. Note: you will need a felting mat (foam or bristle) to continue felting at home.
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours
Please note: There are NO store credits given at any time for classes with special guest instructors and artists. Your seat may be transferred to a friend if you cannot attend.
