Welcome to "quilt club"! The first rule of "quilt club" is to TALK about quilt club.
The Log Cabin design is a traditional quilt block design, and In this series, weâll be creating four 16â quilt blocks that are variations of the traditional Log Cabin quilt block. These blocks can each be stand-alone projects for skill-building, or could be sewn in coordinating colors to be sew together in a larger sampler quilt top afterwards! Not only will we be learning new techniques but we'll also have the opportunity to share why we quilt!Â
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate - You can sew a confidently precise ÂŒâ seam allowance or youâve completed a quilt before.
- We provide: The patterns, studio space, tools, machines, and expertise. Plus inspiration on what we can do with these blocks once they are completed!
- You bring: A couple yards total in total in a variety of fabrics: This would be a great use for a fat quarter bundle, or âshoppingâ your stash of leftover fabrics. To unify the four blocks, choose about one yard for the Background color, and then a variety of other fabrics in a coordinating color scheme. Don't forget that we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
- Class length: Â 2 1/2 hours per session.Â
Class meets Thursdays, March 19, April 30, May 21, and June 26 at 5:30 PM.
