Elastic Waist Maxi Skirt Pattern (MINI-3XL)

A maxi skirt shaped with an elasticated waistband for comfort and ease. It features large patch pockets and decorative stitching. A versatile piece designed for everyday wear — easy to mix and match with different tops as you move from week to weekend.

The Elastic Waist Skirt MINI is the children’s version of the same design. A playful, knee-length skirt with generous width, an elasticated waistband and large patch pockets, offering comfort and freedom of movement. Includes sewing patterns for ages 3–4, 5–6, 7–8 and 9–10 years.

* You can use less fabric if you split the waistband and add a 1 cm seam allowance to join the 2 parts together. See the layout page in the pattern for examples.

Materials Needed

• Fusible interfacing
• Thread
• 4" [10cm] wide waistband elastic:
  • XS 70 cm, S 80 cm,  M 90 cm, L 100 cm, XL 110 cm, 2XL 120 cm,  3XL 130 cm
• 2" [5cm] wide waistband elastic:
  • Length 60-65 cm. Measure the waist and add 3 cm (includes seam allowance to overlap)
• Option: If you cannot find an elastic tape in the recommended width, you may use any width you prefer. Make sure to adjust the width of the fabric waistband using the following formula: Elastic tape width × 2 + 2.5 cm
