What You'll Need

44/45"-wide light- to medium-weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, broadcloth, poplin, chambray, and linen:

• 1 fat quarter for dog
• 3⁄8 yd for cat
• Fabric or felt scraps (or embroidery floss) for eyes and nose
  

Notions:

• Fiber stuffing
• Plastic stuffing pellets (optional)
• Coordinating thread
• For dog and cat face, choose one, or use any combination of the following:
  • 1) fusible web for raw-edge appliqué
  • 2) freezer paper and glue stick for needle-turned appliqué
  • 3) embroidery floss
• For cat whiskers and mouth, embroidery floss
