Charlie Hoodie Pattern

Charlie is a unisex sweatshirt pattern for children. The sweatshirt falls to the hips. It features raglan armholes with a buttoned opening in the raglan armhole, a lined hood, hem and cuff bands, and inside pockets.

Skill Level: Intermediate

What you will learn with this pattern: how to sew a tab into the raglan armhole, how to sew a lined hood into a sheath, how to sew side pockets and wrist and bottom bands.

Age range: 3-12 years

Suggested Materials:

• Outer fabric in knit: French terry, sweatshirt fleece, soft fleece, minky
• Lining (hood, front yoke and placket, and pocket bags): poplin
• Cuffs and bottom band: rib knit

Additional Supplies:

• Small piece of lightweight fusible interfacing for the button placket, about 10x15 cm
• 3 sew-on buttons, 15 to 20 mm diameter OR 3 snaps for sweatshirt / anorak, 15 mm diameter
