b05 Ribbon-couching foot

For couching sequin- and satin ribbon. The adjustable guide holds the ribbon in place, preventing it from slipping as it is being sewn on.

Instructions: 

Stitch type: zigzag or decorative stitches (sequins: zigzag)
Stitch width: depends on the stitch (sequins: maximum stitch width or wider than sequins)
Stitch length: depends on the stitch (sequins: maximum stitch length)

Trim the ribbon diagonally and insert it through the presser foot opening and pull it backwards under the foot. Sew on the ribbon, sewing a few securing stitches at the beginning and end of the seam.
Different widths of ribbon can be sewn on, depending on which presser foot guide is used (see illustration):
1. 8-10 mm
2. up to 4 mm
3. 5-6 mm

Note: The screw is only for fastening and should not be adjusted.
Sequin tapes up to 6 mm wide can be sewn on using this presser foot. Pull the sequin tape backwards through the lower opening (1) of the presser foot. Sew on the tape, sewing a few securing stitches at the beginning and end of the seam. It is recommended to use a thread that is the same color as the sequins or a transparent thread.
